While we were in Ohio, it appears that the cistern on the roof that holds our water over-flowed. Into our house. For seemingly quite some time. (Imagine a BIG plastic cup of water sitting on a flat roof. Now imagine that big plastic cup constantly being refilled on that flat roof. The water had no where to go, so it seeped into our ceilings.)
THANKFULLY, the water-damage is in a bathroom and the hallway ONLY.
I am SO pleased that none of our rooms were soaked. Especially not my sweet Lila’s.
Oddly… we were thinking about paining the interior of the house (living room, dining room and kitchen are all one room) while we were in Toledo. Now it looks like the interior AND the ceiling will need to happen right quick. Well, as soon as everything dries out.
BIG THANK YOU to Debbie for a.) checking on our house and b.) finding the flood and c.) handling it before we got home.
What an amazing friend, you are.
