8 more weeks! 8 more weeks! According to babble.com, my baby is the size of four oranges. According to my doctor, my baby weighs about 4 lbs – exactly what I was told about Lila. We shall see about that…
Let’s dig in, shall we?
Q. How am I feeling?
A. Tired. Big. Semi-grumpy. Guilty (For being grumpy) Irritable. Exhausted. Full.
(Note: I still completely and 100% understand and respect how much a blessing it is to be doing what I’m doing. I get it. I’m on board with pregnancy. If pregnancy was a facebook group, I’d like it. But truth? Towards the end, it ain’t all that easy. Less rainbows and butterflies, more indigestion and discomfort. And yes, I know I have 7-8 weeks left.)
Q. How am I feeling PHYSICALLY?
A. I think I’ve been having slight braxton hicks. I’m trying to slow down but if any of you know me, you know that is virtually impossible. I don’t sit. I don’t ask for help. I just go. It’s sort of my most annoying trait, if you ask me. I wish I could learn the art of understanding I don’t have to do it all.
Q. Am I craving anything?
A. Yes, brie cheese. OMG. I love brie. [I’m stopping writing this post right now so I can go get a slice of it. Ok. I’m back.]
Q. How do I feel about pregnancy/maternity clothes.
A. Friends, ladies, pregnant women and soon-to-be-pregnant women: you simply cannot go wrong with Gap jeans. You can’t. I wear them every.single.day. Gap maternity clothes a.) wash well, b.) are comfortable and soft and c.) are WORTH the investment. (Especially if you get pregnant 10 months after your first child, like me. 🙂
As far as shirts go: I wear tanks everyday. (This is because my core body temperature hovers around 112 degrees.) You can layer. I don’t like the Old Navy ones at all. However, I like ANY other ones that have a bit of spandex in them. (Yep, tight.) I’d rather look like I’m smuggling a watermelon than wearing a circus tent.
Q. Have we started Baby Girl’s room?
A. Not yet! But more and more accessories have arrived and we’re getting excited. We may change the wall-color decision from brown to pink. Yep. We like pink around here. Thoughts?
