It’s meal-time in our house.
Here’s the conversation that takes place upwards of twice a day with my almost two-year-old.
Me: Lila, do you want to eat?
Lila: No. MEAT.
Me: Lila do you want to eat?
Her: NO. MEAT.
Lila: Do you want to eeeeeat? [I enunciate that there is no “m” in front of “eat”.]
Her : NO [insert pause leading up to:] MEEEEEEAT!!!
I give up.
Me: “Lila, do you want to meat?
Her: “Uh. Yah.”
My daughter likes to meat her food. Or meet. Whichever you prefer.
