(I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to use the word “compendium.”)
Ah-hem, back to my compendium.
1. Turning off my work email on my iPhone after 5 p.m. and not turning it back on until I am in my office the next morning.
I used to wake up, lay in bed and read all of my email: both work and personal. Usually, I’d read a work email and it would anger/frustrate/annoy me and my blood pressure would invariably rise and make me crabby. Who needs that?
BOOM: no work email ’till I’m at work. Novel.
Work/life separation? WHAT? In 2013?
2. Using christmas-tree light step-on things for the bedside lamps in the girls’ rooms.
They’re not so great with switches and quite frankly, I don’t need their hands near bulbs. Love these.
3. Biographies about Johnny Carson.
Yep, I could be reading Elizabeth Kubler-Ross’s On Death and Dying, but instead I’d rather read the tell-all book published by Johnny Carson’s attorney for 20+ years, Henry Bushkin. I need an escape. It’s getting me through.
Check it out here.)
That’s all for now.
