I probably don’t say it enough, but I love you [and miss you.]
You are beautiful and elegant. (Hush. You are.) You have, by far, one of the best laughs in the universe. (“Bah-ha!”) [I miss it.]
I admire your creativity and your artistic sensibility; your style is unrivaled. (It really is.)
You are an aunt that my girls adore and you are such.a.good.Mom.. I mean, beyond “good.” You’re a natural and you’re just really good at it. [Your kids are awesome.]
You also are an exceptional hugger. I won’t soon forget seeing you after the hurricane and the long hug you gave me… You had tears in your eyes and I could feel the love. I didn’t have to say anything, because you just got it. You understood. You’ve done that with me so many times, too. You’ve cried with me. “Stop it, Ky…” And then tears.
I am so thankful that you’ve entered our lives and our family.
I am so thankful that you were born.
I am so thankful that you’re my sister.
I love you [and miss you].
Happy, happy birthday, sister.
