I smile as I type this.
His birthday was Friday. Today is Sunday.
I’m a bit late to writing his annual blog post… (all effort went into day-off celebrating), but I couldn’t let the opportunity pass without making my annual proclamation about this guy I married.
HE is all the things that are right in my world.
Loyal. Kind. Brilliant. Steadfast.
You’re our fixer, our humor, our rock.
You’re my realist and my dreamer.
I’m your biggest fan.
I love you with all of my heart.
I love you for who you are, for who you are becoming and for who you will be. You inspire me. Your core… the very soul of you, is so sweet, so kind and so good. I couldn’t be more happy that you were born.
I couldn’t be more happy that the girls have you as their Daddy . You’ve set a high bar. I love watching you laugh with them — that whole head tossed back, life is good, laugh. I love how comfortable they are with you. How safe they feel. (How safe we all feel…) Just knowing that you’re here.
I couldn’t be more happy that one day they’ll move out (hee hee) and it’ll just be us.
I couldn’t be more happy for all of the in-between time, too. The laughs, the tears. The growing.
I couldn’t be more thankful that you were born, Craig.
I love you.
