I started feeling nostalgic about a week ago.
“Craig, think of all that has changed in the last decade?”
His response: “What hasn’t changed?”
This resonates, no? What hasn’t changed for all of us?
We’ve experienced it.
We felt it.
And, we’re here.
We’re perhaps stronger, and a little more mindful.
Our hearts have been a bit more bruised, or they’ve stretched further than we could have ever imagined.
We felt the thing, we’ve laughed and celebrated, cried and prayed.
We received that phone call.
We held the baby for the first time.
We said goodbye.
We started again. And again. And again.
We knocked it out of the park.
We hid under the covers.
We cleaned up, we rebuilt.
We consoled and held space.
We reached out for help.
We celebrated and created.
We graduated and moved on.
We wandered and learned.
We made it.
Here’s to a 2020 that is full.
Here’s to growing.
Here’s to not comparing.
Here’s to owning who I am.
Here’s to saying no.
Here’s to loving the hard-to-love.
Here’s to kindness and gratitude, empathy and joy.
Here’s to single-tasking.
Here’s to being present.
Here’s to self-care.
Here’s to trusting and having audacious faith and hope.
Here’s to us, friends.
Here’s to you.

All the best to you this decade. All the best.
