Hi, I’m Kylee.
I started this blog back in 2006 after I checked out a book from the library. I named the blog Two Pretzels before I had any pretzels in my life. In fact, it was named after my favorite joke because I’ve wanted this space to be light, and encouraging and fun. During the time that this blog has existed so much has happened:
I moved to Mexico.
I had a hard time having a baby.
Then I got pregnant and had my first daughter.
Then boom, right after – boom! The second daughter.
Then, my Mom died when I was 34… (23 years after my Dad died)
And then my town was rocked by a Category 4 hurricane.
And, now here we are today.
Mission of this space:
I believe that words give life. They empower, entertain, encourage, evoke emotion and most importantly, unite. I write these words in celebration of our common connection.

I’ve been with my best friend as a “we” since 1997. (Go ahead, do the math.) And, we’ve been married since 2003. He’s cute. I refer to him as “C.” throughout the blog because his name is Craig. (Secret’s blown.)
We’re the parents of a tween and a wanna-be-teen.
They’re awesome. One is like him, the other is like me. Yet, they’re their own people.
Since 2006 my goal has always been to make this a happy place… a space that’s not too intense, but instead makes each and every reader sit back for a few minutes a day and perhaps smile and realize that they matter.
Light and easy does it.
The world is our oyster, dear friends. Remember, you matter.
Let’s do this.
xo,
Kylee
